As an international student, you need to satisfy both academic requirements and English requirements before your admission into higher education in Australia. These requirements will vary depending on your choice of university or institution. Generally speaking, for most undergraduate and postgraduate study, IELTS of 6.0 or 6.5 and completion of high school or equivalent are required. For most postgraduate degree, IELTS of 6.5 and completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent are required. There are other pathways available, including foundation study, certificate or diploma study, if you cannot meet the academic requirement or English requirement for entry.
